Tuition Policy

Tuition Payment

For the Vocational Nursing program, 30% of total tuition and fees are due and payable at the beginning of each term (total 4 terms), unless other arrangements are made with the school prior to commencement of classes.

All CNA and HHA tuition and fees need to be paid prior to the program start date.

Regulations and payment may be different if tuition is funded by a third party with no repayment of tuition in full or in part expected on the part of the student.

Financial Assistance

Private and public agencies may be willing to provide tuition assistance for those individuals who meet the particular agency's requirements. For complete information on specific assistance available and eligibility requirements, contact the Admissions Department or your local WorkSource Center. Contact information for nearby WorkSource Centers can be obtained from school officials.

The school may also provide information and assistance pertaining to student loan applications.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Canceling Courses

1. You may cancel your contract for school, without any penalty or obligations up to and including the fifth day of instruction as described in the Notice of Cancellation form that will be given to you prior to or at the first class you go to. Read the Notice of Cancellation form for an explanation of your cancellation rights and responsibilities. If you have lost your Notice of Cancellation form, ask the school for a sample copy.

2. After the end of the cancellation period, you also have the right to stop school at any time; and you have the right to receive a refund for the part of the course not taken.

3. Cancellation shall occur when the student provides a written notice of cancellation to the address of Central Nursing College, 3550 Wilshire Blvd., Suite 830, Los Angeles, CA 90010, attn: School Director. This can be done by mail or hand delivery.

4. The written notice of cancellation, if sent by mail, is effective when deposited in the mail properly addressed with proper postage.

5. The written notice of cancellation need not take any particular form and, however expressed, it is effective if it shows that the student no longer wishes to be bound by the Enrollment Agreement. Each student will be given two Notice of Cancellation forms to use upon enrollment.

6. If the Enrollment Agreement is cancelled for a course of instruction prior to or on the fifth business day on which the student attended his/her first class (business day is a day on which a student is scheduled to attend a class session), the school without penalty or obligation shall refund the full tuition amount paid to Central Nursing College minus registration fee of $75. Central Nursing College will refund any money that the student paid within 30 days after it receives the student’s notice of cancellation.

Note:

In the event, the veteran or eligible person fails to enter the course, withdraws, or discontinues attendance at any time prior to the completion, the amount charged to the veteran or eligible person for tuition, fees, and other charges should not exceed the approximate pro-rata portion of total charges for that program. For veteran students, any registration fee in excess of seventy five ($75.00) dollars is subject to prorated refund.

Withdrawing from a Course after the Fifth (5th) Day of Class

A Student has the right to withdraw from any program after instruction has started and receive a pro rata refund for the unused portion of tuition and any other refundable charges. Refunds are made for students who withdraw or are withdrawn from Central Nursing College prior to the completion of their program. Any equipment (not paid for) should be returned within 30 days or school reserves the right to charge the student or to withhold from the refund. When a student withdraws from the school, he/she must complete a student withdrawal form with the School Director. The date from which refunds will be determined is the last date of recorded attendance. Refunds will be made within 30 calendar days of the notification of an official withdrawal or date of determination of withdrawal by the institution.

If any portion of the tuition was paid from the proceeds of a loan or third party, the refund shall be sent to the lender, third party or, if appropriate, to the state or federal agency that guaranteed or reinsured the loan. Any amount of the refund in excess of the unpaid balance of the loan shall be first used to repay any student financial aid programs from which the student received benefits, in proportion to the amount of the benefits received, and any remaining amount shall be paid to the student.

Revision of Programs and Tuition

Central Nursing College reserves the right to change or modify, without notification, the program content, equipment, staff, instructional materials, equipment and organization as necessary. Such changes may be needed to maintain a good footing with constantly evolving technological advances, legislation in the allied healthcare field and to improve teaching methods. No changes will be made to diminish the competency of any program, or result in tuition changes for students currently enrolled in a program.
